Homemade applesauce is easy to make in a pressure cooker. With just a few minutes of prep, you can have this cinnamon-spiced treat ready to enjoy.
Ingredients
- 5 pounds apples (about 15 medium), peeled and chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a 6-qt. electric pressure cooker. Lock lid; close pressure-release valve. Adjust to pressure-cook on high for 5 minutes. Let pressure release naturally.
- Mash apples with a potato masher or use an immersion blender until blended. Serve warm or store in airtight container in the refrigerator.
