Lone Ranger Cocktail

Total Time Prep: 10 min.
Yield 1 cocktail
The Lone Ranger cocktail recipe is a French 75 in disguise: It swaps in tequila for the gin and goes pink with brut rosé.

Ingredients

  • Ice cubes
  • 1-1/2 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 ounces sparkling rosé wine
  • Lemon wheel, for garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a large stemless wine glass with ice cubes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add tequila, lemon juice and simple syrup; shake until well chilled. Strain mixture into the prepared wine glass. Top with sparkling rosé.
  3. Score the lemon wheel halfway to the center; place it on the edge of the glass. Serve immediately.

A Lone Ranger is basically a French 75 with a twist. It uses tequila instead of gin, and brut rosé instead of champagne. A little bit of lemon and a drop of sweetness finish off this super sassy sipper. —Kate McKiernan, Chicago, Illinois
