Golden milk—also known as a turmeric latte or turmeric milk—is a creamy milk-based drink made with turmeric and warming spices. Enjoy it warm or cold to reap the health benefits of turmeric.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot or ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Dash black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup, optional

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer. Cook about 10 minutes or until fragrant and milk is a uniform color. Strain the milk into a mug.
